I have no problems with inspiration, recently working on 4 different artworks at the moment.
I have no worries about trolls, they're funny when they hit the roof by issues that doesn't worth a second tought to normal people, they're still kids at mind, but that's their problem.

Originally the pose of the elf was designed, and this tentacled creature came randomly to give a reason for the pose of the elf, and it turned to be the most interesting pat of the image.
I didn't expected it to have a classic art feeling. DorΓ©'s illustrations are great with those dynamic compositions of mythical or fantasy creatures
