No, I find it amusing, and interesting from a sociological standpoint. Men do the same thing, but it's always interesting to see how the other side thinks. Many things can be expressed in art that cannot be expressed in words.

The 90% of my favourite artists are men, and their personal works are mostly naked or nearly naked fantasy ladies who are beautiful and dangerous in the same time. (It's rare to find such paintings about males ) and they really thinks in a different way than women. Perhabs that's why I like them better. I don't know why, but most women loves to turn everything into romance ( I've met nonsenses like Kain got married and become a henpecked husband with kids and lived happy ever after =_= )
I agree, arts are far more expressive than words. So many things can be told by only one pic, and it can have a greater effect on the watchers too.

It's interesting from a psychological and sociological perspective. The female mind is a mystery to men just as the male mind is a mystery to females. So I enjoy some of the stuff expressed in artwork because it's a window the what's going on inside someones mind. Of course the female artist is different from a regular female mind, but it's still good to see and useful. Although sometimes there is stuff that I would rather not see, but that's rare. A lot of guys overdo the nudity, every once in a while it's OK but when it's done frequently it loses it's effect and becomes mundane and uncreative. For my part, costume design is part of the fun, although I have done nudity before.

Back to serious: That's true when drawing nudes or anything else can be boring when the artists are making them by routine without any feelings, and not adding their personality. (I didn't liked to draw nudes or portraits at high school as there was no creativity in the poses, and it felt like drawing the same for months)
I love fantasy coz it allows a great variety of poses and accessories, they often look good even if they wouldn't work in real life.(especially the armoury and weapons)
Btw good for you to be able to see so many things without screaming. I used to be tolerant, but this yaoi invasion killed my tolerance level so there are so many things I don't want to see.

His hands? I don't know coz I don't use references for the linearts. I'm crazed about anatomy and details, I guess it makes easier to draw things to their correct place.
