Sorry this one took a while. Among other things, my computer ain't gettin any better.. nor are my work hours getting shorter.. ^_^' It's really frustrating that my computer likes to freeze as I save, meaning it saves a blank file over it, and I have to go open the weird glitchy file in paint and re-save it before I can continue editing it in another program.. Cuz, like, you GOTTA save.. right? Even Jesus saves.So yeah. This is Langur. He's a conqueror. Conquerors are big humanoid lion warriors that love battles and fights and challenges. ARE YOU LOOKING FOR A CHALLENGE???
The thing is, Langur's kind of a serious d00d.. he shares the same warrior spirit as his fellows on.. some conqueror island I haven't named yet... but not their raucous sense of humor.. so when they're all partying with slutty conqueresses and getting royally shitfaced, he's off polishing his sword.. and then masturbating. Huh? Sorry, that was kind of a long way to go for such a minor joke. Anyway, this gives him sort of a link with Dimas, but I think he's gonna find out that loosening up is better.
I think his role in the character dynamic is going to involve getting impatient with Tamdrin and Nomis and providing wisdom when necessary.. since he's kinda-sorta the oldest guy in the party (and second-heaviest! ^^) The only time he really shows -joy- is when he's acquiring and testing new weapons.. for that's his hobby..
Being that he's a weapons-master, his style in battle is going to depend on which weapon you have equipped.. I'm thinking tetsubo, various swords, twin daggers maybe, a pike, a 'war scissor', his claws, a double trident, a lance, a mace, a morning star, a war hammer, and maybe a kusari-gama.. though that one would be tricky. ^^ He's going to sport different armors, too, including one that has a nice lyre-horned helmet.

The pose is the highlight of this work... that and the lower legs. And maybe the face.
He doesn't look as heavy as this says he is... or do the disarming colors of this set of clothing just hide that?

I think I might have been including his armor's weight, but basically it's the higher density of nonhuman animals that makes him seem heavy. I mean, a 6'10" man might weigh 250-300 pounds depending on his build, and Langur here is obviously a lot more heavily built than a man... but even on top of that, there's a weird thing when you look up the weights of animals.. everything weighs a lot more than we do, volume-for-volume. a tiny 3-foot-tall chimp weighs like 200 pounds on his own, and an 8-foot-long 3-foot-tall lion can be 500 pounds well-fed, and I think if you measure it.. Langur's actually.. bigger overall (because of the limbs) than a lion that's 8 feet long.. and I let him weigh a bit less just so he wouldn't be ridiculously heavy.
Don't get me started on Tamdrin ><

As a weapon master, couldn't he just be able to equip the other character's junk as well as his own, unique set? naturally, he'd have his own style of ass-whuppin' but truly, seeing him kick butt with the faun's axes in a completely different (and possibly more effective) way than the faun (Cas = no good with names) would be cool.

Heh that's ok, I came up with most of their names last-minute, so I referred to them by species.
I think.. the reason he won't use other characters' weapons.. is.. they'd get mad. XD
