Now this is completely different to anything I do, but after reading the latest issue of BOOM! Studios' Mighty Morphin Power Rangers comic, I was baffled. I love this scene, I really do! But it also fills me questions. Now I hesitated to upload it since I figured there might be a forum for this but I couldn't find it so... yeah. And I don't want to get sued by Hasbro and/or BOOM! Studios, but I guess the Disclaimer at the end will save me from that... I really hope :S
Oh, spoilers ahead if you are not caught up to the comic.
So, as I said, I love it! I love how they added the Hyperforce and Beast Morphers (the core three we know will appear) teams. But there are some clear absences here. But lets start with the facts:
- I know why only the Quantum Ranger appears, his team is supposed to be dead, all but Jen.
- I know Drakkon took Addam's Zeo morpher.
- I know he beat the crap out of the Space Rangers and probably captured all of them.
- I know Drakkon has captured, killed, or at the very least engaged in battle AND defeated the Lost Galaxy, Lightspeed Rescue, Jungle Fury, Samurai, Dino Thunder, Dino Charge and Megaforce. Their surviving/not-captured members are part of the ranger resistance right now.
- I know not all of the teams have to appear, some have already been covered in other numbers, some have been defeated, captured etc.
Now lets move on to what I want to know:
- Where is Zhane? Space Silver is not supposed to be dead or captured, we haven't really seen him yet.
- Where are the Turbo and all the ranger teams whose sixth rangers are here?
- Where are all the other teams that have not been mentioned or shown? (Mystic Force, Overdrive, etc.)
- Where are the rest of the SPD Rangers? We know they battled Drakkon and survived, all of them, yet we only see Doggie Kruger (SPD Shadow Ranger) as part of the resistance. Where they captured after the Battle of Corinth?
- On that note, were are the RPM Rangers? They too fought Drakkon and survived, and were some of the first to have their morphers enhanced to prevent being affected by the Dragon Cannons. Though Summer (RPM Yellow) had her morpher stolen, where are the rest? Where they captured after the Battle of Corinth as well?
- Where are the second gen MMPR? I want to know if we will get to see Adam, Rocky, Aisha, Kat fighting side by side with their predecessors (not counting the Zeos here). And a second Billy won't hurt them either.
- That Zeo Gold is Jason? Because I really hope he is Jason, he appeared leaving the team when Drakkon infiltrated the Zeo Rangers. Maybe they called him back to lead them? It would be amazing to see Jason (Red Tyranno) interact with his future self (Zeo Gold).
- Lastly, the most intriguing question to me, where are al the other Tommys? I know Green MM is dead, but where is White MM? Where is Red Zeo? Did he end up dying in the end? Where is Red Turbo? or are we using TJ for this Red Turbo? Where is Black Dino Thunder? He is the most experienced of all the Tommys, I would imagine he would've been able to at least match up to Drakkon in some way.

Huh! I didn't noticed that. True, they don't appear in this shot, but I'm sure at least the JF Wolf Ranger made it, he fights in the final battle. I think I saw the Rhino too, but I'm not sure on that one.

He does take part in the final battle. And his wolf zord combines with zords from other teams. Its quite cool actually. But it seems you haven't read the comic so I won't spoil anything else, believe me, its worth reading it.

Yeah, Comicstorian videos are amazing, they give you all the important info. But I meant you haven't read the actual Shattered Grid event. I'm pretty sure Comicstorian must have a video about it already, or will shortly, specially since right now Necessary Evil is based on Shattered Grid, so anyone who wants to get into the comic right now and have a complete understanding on the event, will need to know about Shattered Grid.

I was hopping the Thunder Megazord be a separate robot from the original Megazord.

I think they are, although to be honest I don't think they are shown together so its kindda difficult to confirm if they are or aren't the same in the comics.

Well It's because I hate the idea of turning dinozords into thunderzords it's stupid they were a lot better as dinozords!

Well, they were different, that's for sure. The thunderzords are supposed to be stronger tho, so it makes sense, in universe wise, that they turned the partially destroyed dinozords to create the thunderzords. But I do agree, it would've been way better if they kept them as separate groups of zords.

None of those characters were planned to join the series by the time Dairanger was adapted. They were capitaizing on a brand hat was already recognizable and tried to change as little as possible from it just to make sure they'd get money out of it. So while it would have been cool to have the Dairanger suits adapted to the show, it was not going to happen due to the circumstances that surrounded the show back then.

Tbh, its simple business tactics. Once the brand was secure they started doing the seasonal change in suits and eventually cast. I'm not fond of Saban myself specially after that dreadful second run they got, but I've got to admit, they were smart enough to secure the brand for us outside Japan so I can't really hate them.

Yeah, it could've used some dialogue. Though maybe they didn't add any to prevent cialogue clouds to obscure the picture entire or partially. I still think we deserve and explanation about where Dino Thunder and White Ranger Tommy, MMPR Adam, Rochy and Aisha are.

Yeah, after posting this I realized Overdrive's Blue was among the rangers. When did Drakkon destroyed them? I don't remember seeing that part.

There've been a huge success really. I only watched a few of the first episodes, they ar etoo long for my liking so I stopped watching them. But I've heard they are kind of huge on twitch and even had an early crossover with Drakkon. So they were bound to be added here.
I'm more shocked that they added the Beast Morphers, all we know about them are their team name and yet here they are. It will be interesting to see them, if they get time to develop with so many characters introduced at once.

Oh, yeah, you're right. My guess is they will go with a team of non read leaders and have Jason as Zeo Gold as their leader. In fact there is an image they released that makes me think that could be the team they would go with. This one although I don't think those would be the other members since SPD Pink is kind of a weak choice imo and RPM Red would never leave his team to follow someone else.

Because there are stronger, more suitable Pink Rangers than her. Maybe its how the show portrayed her, but SPD Pink seems kind of a superficial character with little to add to a team. I think Time Pink, MM Pink (I), Space Pink, Galaxy Pink (either of them) would do a better job. I would consider even Wind Ninja Blue and Mistyc Blue to be strong additions to the team as well, though that team already has a male Blue so I don't think they would have two blues, even if they are different shades of the color.

Well yeah, it would be quite the task really. I guess we all have maybe a top 3 or top 5 for any given color, but trying to make them or rather picture them working well together is the hardest part.
