Was badass in the comics. After Logan her badass gauge reached the MAXIMUM level :vLaura in Logan movie are freaking adorable and awesome!
Made a "Capcom" styled portrait of her as the movie counterpart. She deserves it

Laura is a clone of Wolverine. She is a "failed" project of a new "Weapon X".

Clone is a subjective term its more like she is a designer child atleast in the comics I don't know if its that way in the movie(Have yet to see it)
A scientist named Sarah Kenny experimented on a DNA sample of Wolverine for Weapon X but that was going nowhere(In terms of outright cloning) so she altered the sample and injected herself with it which got her pregnant with X-23.
She gave birth to the child and from the very start she was subjected to terrible experiments and gruling training all to create the next Wolverine. Eventually Sarah helped her escape but she was killed as a result and the project Laura Kenny or Laura X went out to find her place in the world eventually meeting her father Wolverine and joining the X-Men, she also became best friends with Jubilee and got a HUGE crush on Hellion.
Then in the current comics after Logan's death she took up his mantle and became the new Wolverine.

I saw the movie now and they do say she is his daughter, infact they never use the word clone.XD
Its basically like he is a sperm donor basically that is what he is, after all she isn't identical to him on a genetic level or physical level so she is by definition not a clone.
