Valon's assignment for June/July! The Air Empire leader gathered up several apprentices accompanied by a couple gladiators and went out for a quick training session. Valon's obviously showing off his fighting techniques during a sparring match between him and Jace, hoping the young cats will learn something in the process.What a lot of felines don't know is that Valon was the master of defeating opponents a lot larger than him back during his days in the Coliseum. He was trained to be a self reliant, ruthless killer and earned his owner a lot of gold by being so. He's certainly not as blood thirsty now, especially since he's Air Empire leader and all, though it's been extremely hard for him to abandon all the habits he learned by being a prized fighter.
After a long while of being kept in check, these traits are just now starting to resurface during the current rps, making several cats really suspicious of Valon and his motives.

Ugh, this was one of those pictures where the more I worked on it, the more and more I didn't like it. D| I'm not sure why! alkdjkf but Valon's assignment it done and I can move onto more commissions now. c:

Well, I really understand what you mean, the better the picture, the worse it looks to the artist.
But to others, it can still be very impressive, we're not here to count mistakes, are we? The story itself sounds very interesting, I think I'll come back to this.

Haha, thank you! When I first started off drawing, I heavily reference TLK so my style's always naturally leaned that way but over the past couple of years, I've started to throw in my own take on things. I really glad my own style is starting to show through the Disney-inspired!

Oh wow. Just wow.
The blurs really create such a dramatic mood. Jace looks like she’s’ having lots of fun while Valon looks like he’s really enjoying the fight too, but in a different way-Like he’s getting enjoyment from the actual fight while Jace is just enjoying showing off a good example to the apprentices with a friend. Are you trying to hint at something?

The perspective is really nice too. AND THAT GRASS. Oh yes, that grass is beautiful. Did you go ink every single blade?

This looks fantastic!! Jace looks great too and I can just imagine him countering that pounce with a blow to the stomach sending Valon sailing right over Jace's head. It's brilliant and I love the clean crisp colours used. Fantastic!

The detail is lovely, the coloring and shading is very realistic.
