Through vast experiences, their nack for technology and ingenuity has allowed them to adapt to the various environments they come across, whilst completing missions. While having unknown and vague backgrounds at first, it is later revealed that they were forced to watch their family die by the main antagonists in order to become who they are, even when they explicitly refused the offer, which becomes the emotional scar towards their characters.
