Description This is the first one I started, and the one I worked on the longest time ago. It's also the biggest and most complex. I was very proud of what I got done, but the process of finishing all of the three animations up, linking them together and then COLORING them was too much.

So that's the end of this sequence. Stay tuned for a few more (non-animated) things.

One question while I'm here.. what colour is he?

Kaiseto In reply to andwhyisit [2012-06-20 03:07:47 +0000 UTC]

Was going to be a mix of faded blue-green on the back, transitioning to a sort of sandy beige on the stomach. Makes sense in my head anyway. Maybe I'll color a single frame

I'm about halfway there and I've reached the point where I must ask, what's the wing membrane colour?

Safe to assume it should match the stomach on the insides and the back on the outsides. Use some artistic license. Whatever looks good to you.

Sweet. Reminds me of some kind of awesome pokemon with the coloring style.

I like the change between one form and another. Quite more feral after the transformation. Pretty smooth as well.

Nice to see you upload this one as well. Remember seeing this one on a livestream of yours.

Hey, this is so awesome. You're one of the pixeljoint guys that are really great at animation (even if you never come back to pixeljoint now ). There are not many of them, but your name is without adoubt among those.

I kind of like animation... but it's just so much work. It's almost like debugging a program for me. I spend so much time going back and forth between frames trying to find stuff that doesn't match up

lucas-irineu In reply to Kaiseto [2012-06-16 13:12:45 +0000 UTC]

But in the end, it's worth it!

One thing I realized is that NPA animation is *much* easier than pixel art.

I'll have to give it a shot some time. Unfortunately I don't have flash. Or any Adobe products for that matter And I'm past the point in my life where I feel justified pirating everything...

Haha. Yeah, not many free things you can use to animate... Photoshop is my favorite out of them.

Hey, what do you do for a job?

Got hired as a programmer for a machine company, writing/maintaining software to help define part surfaces and generate output codes. Enjoying it so far.
