Kaity watched a girl storm out of the school as the prom king and queen were announced, "If this pisses 'er off, she must not have much goin' 'fer 'er." Kaity said to herself, kicking her feet up onto the table she sat at. Kaity had never been one for dresses and she had been forced to attend prom, so she worer to go-to formal outfit; a long-sleeved shirt made of a slik-feeling material and black pants that when put under light had a subtle blue sparkle to them. Though she spent most of the event sitting at one of the darkened tables and conversing with friends who were also there, most of the time making fun of those who had come in exaggeratingly fancy dresses, suits, or couples that had come in matching colors.
But now that the king and queen were announced and the drama started to unfold, Kaity decided it was a good time to start heading home. She brought her feet down, slid out of her seat and congratulated the two winners. She then headed back home, saying goodbye to any friends she met on her way to the door.
