  Hey there everyone!

  I am interested in changing Alec’s rank from craftsman to philosopher for a variety of reasons. Let me first say that Alec was born into a family of very productive craftsman, though he strived to please his parents and become as talented as they were in crafting homes and buildings among both the Surrounding Villages and Inaria, he failed in his physical ability to do so. He is very fine boned and quiet natured, both traits he has possessed since birth, and had a hard time constructing intricate structures due to the required strength for lifting and pulling lumber. He also struggled with the imaginative aspect of forming enough creative designs for their layout. As a result, he just barely managed to support himself with a small job delivering goods from one commissioner to the next.

  Though this form of work provided him with the income he needed to support himself over the years, it is far from what he would like to be doing for the rest of his life. Instead, Alec has blossomed a rich enjoyment in reading and writing. Though not particularly interested in fiction, he finds much fulfillment in the study of the gods and world lore. Specifically over the time he had spent in the settlement of Torrine, where he received his first blessing, retrocognition from Cascade. Ironic considering his interest in Hireath’s history and religion. After receiving his blessing, Alec’s questionable faith to Cascade seemed to be restored in full swing. He studied world lore more thoroughly, specifically Talori and their god, as he pondered why Cascade would bless someone with wings if her children seemed to disapprove of them as much as they did.

  His steady research evolved into him earning the loremaster talent (maxed), and paired with the tactician talent, his intelligence really seems like a force to be reckoned with. To me, it seems especially wasted on transporting goods and packages. That being said, Alec has also come into contact with his eight year old daughter while in Torrine, and may need the support of a more stable job/income. Not to mention, he may not be able to bring Agnes along with him on long jobs, if any at all!

  As my dorky donkey’s character continues to grow, I believe that it would be in the best interest of his future character development to consider this change, as it seems to fit his character much more thoroughly and would provide much better reasoning as to why I have chosen both of his talents and currently individual blessing. That being said, I do not at all regret his previous placement as a craftsman, instead I think that it added an excellent building point from the beginning of his story, though it should be seen as merely that; a stepping stone. I am so eager with anticipation and excitement to possibly supplement one of my favorite character’s with a more fitting occupation.

  However, I of course respect each of the admins’ opinions, and while I hope you will take this change into a good consideration, I completely understand if anyone decides that Alec is unfit for the philosopher rank. As it says on the website; I’m sure you have a good reason!

Alec's taking a big plunge in his career ;D In case you were wondering what's going on in this picture, the seagulls are trying to deliver a letter to him requesting (or accepting) his position as a Philosopher. He's too wrapped up in his book to notice at first, oh, the irony! but eventually he figures it out.

This was drawn on the iPad pro, so excuse the grossness, I'm not quite used to the brushes on it yet
I kind of like how the colors turned out though, even though that looks nothing like Aquore O_o .... Just pretend there is an ocean behind him.. K, thanks!
