Description
Firefly characters in the style of some RENT promo pictures. Added "You can't take the sky from me" instead of "No Day But Today"[link]
With some of the pictures I had to add the background of another picture because they didn't have a promo pic with the background.
Also Mals background color is supposed to be brown, Zoes a red/brown, and Inara an orange-ish color.
Top Row L-R: Malcolm "Mal" Reynolds, Zoe Warren, Hoban "Wash" Washburn, Simon Tam, Kaywinnit Lee "Kaylee" Frye.
Bottom Row L-R: Inara Serra, River Tam, Jayne Cobb, Derrial Book, Serenity.
Firefly unfortunately is not mine, it belongs to the amazing Joss Whedon.
RENT also does not belong to me. It belongs to the late Jonathan Larson.

I was thinking about this one night while I was watching Firefly. Then I saw your rent picture and it was the accurate analogy. If they were real people this is how they would actually be.
Mal and Zoe are former army buddies/vets who decide to open a shipping company. They advertise for a pilot and Wash shows up. Zoe and Wash have a very uneasy relationship but find they love one another. So Zoe has to learn to cope with being the wife of a man who is also her employee. Jayne is their security specialist who's not exactly a genius but quite capable when they find themselves in a spot of trouble when transporting questionable cargo. Inara is a businesswoman who rents an apartment from Mal. She travels frequently and sometimes has clients come to see her much to Mal's disapproval. Kaylee would be an engineering student who is still quite naive about the ways of the world and idolizes Inara for the exotic places she goes and interesting people she meets. Simon of course would be the handsome doctor who makes Kaylee's heart skip a beat whenever they meet in the halls. River had a traumatic experience when she was sent off to boarding school and now lives with Simon. Kaylee watches her whenever Simon has to work late. Book is an evangelist who tries to lecture Mal on the moralistic issues of his more unsavory activities but will lend a hand when things start to get hairy. And last but by no means least, Serenity would be the building that they all live in and Mal operates his company out of
