lol we take notes from some slides in each class, slides of old art from the time period
then we draw from a costumed model
the next week we have a compilation due of all the drawings and notes into a stylesheet that represents that period
we have other classes but that's the basics lol

No poop! I wasn't joking when I said I took costuming classes and worked in the shop; petticoats and crinolines and panniers, oh my! And these are much better than anything I did, I assure you. We were restricted to working only in watercolor.
