Presenting the squiddle planet, a planet swept away by the sands of time(references), Veneathus.

A planet the size of Neptune, 90% water. Home to squiddles, Humans, and pirates.

The planet orbits a large blue giant star, but is far away from it to be hospitable for life. It is a very fast planet however and takes 15 human years to complete 4 squiddle years.

Squiddles don't use years to tell how old a person is, rather they use the tides. One Tide=One month, 180 Tides= 15 years. Squiddle annual tide birthdays aren't really important because they happen very usually, but it is a special ocasion when a squiddle reaches enough months to complete a squiddle year.

Pod quest starts with the 180th tide and 4th year of a young squiddle on the 28th planetary rotational period of the 4th tide of the current solar orbital domain.

the planet has a total of 12 moons, the other 8 are at a realistic distance from the planet and not visible from the screen.

Squiddles, the dominate species, live in cites and villages and towns and all that under the water, safe from pirates.

Humans(or Human like aliens) are also abundant in the planet. They take up cramped, large cities on the small islands scattered all over the planet. Are prime targets of pirates who pillage and attack them. Are pitted by the squiddles whom try to help them as much as possible.

Pirates are villains of the sea. Arch enemies of the squiddles. They are made up of all types of crazy creatures, pelicans, goat-fishes, and the notorious Skipper Plumpthroat whom all other pirates fear. Pirates are basically rouges who roam the planet.
