I've always wondered if his mask and eye were sewn separately, or with the same string.

I think they're sewn separately. Or else he would have the mask stuck to his face, and he wouldnt be able to take it off

I would hope seperately. The thread's too thick to sew an eye shut....maybe it's not even sewn, just a scar....?
