So, anyone remember: Shock Color Reference , Shock's Origin ?

No? Damn. >> Oh well. So after I drew her a few times, I've had many people pull me aside and call me racist for using Ganguro style, as it is falsely accused of having origins in Blackface, when it's much older than that and resides back with the Yuki-Onna legend. I kinda got disheartened by that, and decided that a Reboot of her design is necessary. But I still want to keep the two forms she had before, so it's less a "Forget EVERYTHING!" and more a "Her default form isn't the Ganguro anymore, it's just what she uses rarely."

So, an astute observer will notice the words at the bottom of each 'Form' of Shock, known as "Soul"s. Well, good observation baby, cuz that's why the text dump.

Soulless Soul: This is Wynona's new default form. Pure and simple, if she's in stream chats or the like, this is what she looks like. Having her default to Ganguro form, now called Graffiti Soul, would actually be dumb for a wanted Graffiti artist. So instead, it's just an outfit cobbled together from various swatches of colour from across her other forms. She also has her gun in her waistband, but in this form, her gun is very malleable, being an extension of herself, and thus does not prevent her from sitting or otherwise. Her socks are just a little above her ankles, and have yellow circles on either side but are mostly the green that shows up across all forms. I also included her side view here to show off what her hair looks like in (Most) forms from the side, as I've noticed that when others draw her, they tend to make her hair not as afro-like as it should be.

Before moving on, yes, Shock is a Japanese/Irish immigrant, who is predominantly Japanese in skin-tone, but does have orange hair and green eyes. Lindstrom is not an Irish name, of course, but it's actually a situation of Shock choose the name "Lindstrom/Rindstromu" by herself, to distance herself from her previous family and so she couldn't get taken back to her abusive mother. Alright, now that we detoured...

Graffiti Soul: This is Wynona's Graffiti Punk Persona. Starting from getting the make-up from Shock's first crush, she used this to disguise herself from the COPS and the police (Which yes, those are two different things if you read the story) and continues to use it so that she is less likely to get nailed by them when she's just hanging out. She also uses this form at night so that the police put out an APB for a "Dark Woman" or "Yuki-Onna" instead of a pale Japanese girl. Granted, some people may think she's a ghost since she can dive into any graffiti and look like she's passed through walls.

Business Soul: This is the form that Shock takes when she has to go to work. Wynona, as briefly touched upon in the past, is a photographer for a local newspaper, as well as a contractable photographer for hire by an assortment of people. She makes enough to buy food for herself and does have a savings that she keeps on her person at all times, somewhere in the deep recesses of her Morpher Biology since she can't actually get a bank account. She has sensible Wedges on but she can run pretty well in them to boot just in case her photography target is running away. Oh, before I forget, Business Soul Shock keeps her gun in her purse/equipment bag so she doesn't scare off anyone she has to take pictures of.

Geisha Soul: A new form that Shock can take. She learned about Geishas from a video game that she was playing, and did more research on it, deciding that a Geisha would be able to get into the seedier parts of Japan easier than just some Graffiti punk. Not to mention she loves toying with Makeup and making herself look different, she saw Geisha as another way to express that part of her. It's a rarely used form, of course, but I figure I should include it to show that Shock doesn't just do Ganguro.

Yakuza Soul: Finally, we have a Soul based on Yakuza, specifically a character named "Shun Akiyama," a Kickcentric character from games 4 and 5. I won't go into spoiler details of that game, but know that if Shock is in this form, someone's about to get an ass kicking. Shock's gun is more lethal in this form, where the other forms can only fire ink blobs to blind her foes or to get away, this form's fingertip bullets are actually capable of hitting with the force of a tennis ball fired from a launcher, and knock someone out if they hit right. She can also fight with her fists and feet, though this actually comes up in the future story I'll be writing as a sequel to the Origin story. Stay tuned for that. When she's not shooting, of course, her gun is tucked inside the outer jacket.
