Description
Pealkiri: TurulaevTitle: Market ship
A concept about a market held on deck of a trireme.
Comments and critique are welcome! I messed quite a bit with the water reflection, but I am still not fully satisfied with it, so it would be one thing to comment about. Another thing to comment about would be the use of lights and shadows.
Update 22.09.2010: Minor edit, added some supporting-stakes to the small bridge
Update 25.09.2010: Added some shadows to the ship, boat and the bridge. Also, two awnings were modified a little.

A very interesting concept! Things that I can find that may be improved on are some of the awnings: the one to the far left and the center one, specifically. The one to the left appears as if the top is level, but the other end is at an angle, facing the viewer. I think adjusting the width of the red stripe might fix this, to make that side appear farther away. The center awning appears to be kind of flat, however based on the lower edge, it seems as if it is supposed to be somewhat "saggy" in the central area. So, perhaps some shadow there to suggest that? Getting a napkin or something like that and propping it up may help with that. Some of the shadows on the boat may need to be made stronger: currently I cannot tell where the light source is located.
As for the water and the reflection, I think it's beautiful. It reminds me of those clear, clean waters of the Mediterranean or Bahamas! Some parts of the reflection may be too sharp for "realism," but I personally think you did and excellent job and I'm not sure I'd want you to change it.
I hope this helps!

Thank you for the comment
I'll try to fix these problems with awnings you mentioned. I think the problem with (lack of) shadows might just be the most serious problem on this image. Some of the contours and shapes are quite hard to distinguish because of it (especially when you look the thumbnail of image). I'll see if I can introduce stronger contrasts without ruining the work
To make the scene look Mediterranean-alike was one of my goals, so I am glad I succeeded in this. Probably I won't change the water unless I find some very good idea how to make it better

Depending on where the sun is, you may need some shadow on the water, but other than that, I totally agree: doesn't need changes!
I can't wait to see what you do with it!

Thanks for reminding me the shadows on the water - while messing with reflections, I totally forgot those. Now I've added the shadows and also made a fix on awnings.
I'll probably have to re-check all the shadows on the picture, but I'll leave it for later.
