I know, I know, the title sucks, but I really couldn't think of anything better.

In case you're not familiar with the fandoms - the bloke is Roronoa Zoro, the swordsman from One Piece, and the girl is Arashi Kishu, one of the seven dragons of heaven from X/1999. Why the two of them together? Because their weapons are swords, of course. Yes, my mind works in mysterious ways.

Heh, I've done this outline at work, when I was bored, two weeks ago. I was relatively pleased with it and decided to colour it today, because I had the day off and because I really didn't have anything better to do, like answering my 70+ LJ messages, 140+ DA messages, and gazillion and one email I still have in my mailbox. No siree! *cough*

Anyway, only today it hit me that Zoro looks surprisingly a lot like Ichigo from Bleach (or, more likely it's the other way around), so I really should have done the two of them together, but oh well, I have no idea what inspired me to do this piece.

What else is there to say to this pic? Nothing much, aside from the fact that I'm really pleased with it, no matter how weird Arashi looks. Also, I have to admit that it's the most sloppily coloured piece of work I've attempted to far, and surprisingly enough, it works damn well. I'm really pleased with the overall colouring, the sketch, the pose, and even the background. I've experimenting with outlines now, and I have to say I like these outlines better than the ones I used to do. The only thing about it that I don't like are the swords, but cut me some slack, please, I added them via computer, and I suck with the pen tool.

Other than that, . I'm pleased. You should have seen the original sloppy sketch.
