Thank you for the comment and critic also , have to say that is a rare treat.
Yes the white area makes this picture unbalanced. I intented the white area to be light of some sort where Ofelia gazes, shame it didn't work that way. Maybe I should have used some sort of light colour instead of leaving the area completely white?

One problem with the composition right now is that white area is empty but it also calls the viewer's attention because it's so bright. I was thinking that if you continued the forest backdrop from the top right across into the top left, then have a diagonal ray of light (maybe like this [link] ) coming down through that section towards Ofelia, that would really help. That area would not feel as empty and it would bring the viewer's attention back to the focus of the piece.

Thanks that is good idea, especially the diagonal ray of light, it is something that would suit the picture. Sadly I don't where picture is, but if will find it I will do some changes to it, meaning the white area.
Regrettably I think that sort of ray of light is technically too difficult to me to do, but hey I could try anyway~

Don't worry about it. Just keep the suggestion with you in the future in case you encounter a similar problem in a different piece, or start a new image from that idea. And sometimes it's better to keep moving forward anyway because you can learn so much from doing new work as opposed to fixing little details in old artwork.

Just read your comment and yesterday I started doing picture wich contains different light elements than I usually do
but still I'm that kind of person that wants to fix everything in my old artworks, if it can make them looks even better

Tuntu vähän koko leffan ajan, että Mercedes ymmäris paremimn Ofeliaa, kuin sen oma äiti.

Puita ja sen sellasia on aina kiva piirtää, hienoa jos ovat onnistuneet

Ihanaa kun tykkää! Juuria oli tosi siisti piirtää, meinasi koko kuva tulla niitä täyteen. mietin sitä keijua tehdessä, että näkyykö se, mutta hyvä jos näkyy : D
