Part of a set of Xmas tree/rear-view mirror ornaments (Mario Kart Blue Shell can be seen here [link] Mushroom can be seen here [link] ) and belonging to a series of Nintendo-themed sculptures recreated in a more realistic manner, which started with the Realistic Piranha Plant (seen here: [link] ) and its baby, and ending with a Baby Metroid in formaldehyde, which will be available in a few months.It is a Goomba, as seen in Super Mario Brothers. I used clay and acrylics and the final piece is about two inches. This is technically my second Goomba, since the Piranha Plant actually had one that was a little more realistic (it was basically a brown mushroom, no eyes).

the realism is uncanny. I'm surprised the feet aren't more organic, although thats probably because you put shoes on the sucker. I think the pupils should look less cartoony to add to the realism, but as a whole your touches are amazing!

Thank you! This was done as a Christmas ornament so it isn't officially part of the series. I'm doing several new pieces for the next video and plan to include Goombas, which will be a lot more organic, less cartoon eyed and... barefoot.
