You know, I must admit that I wasn't sure whether this was a female, until you pointed it out. But I think that perhaps it also shows in that she's reasonably smaller and lighter in build, compared with the other more bulkier dragons?
And yes, the detail on the wings is awesome - your sense of light/dark tones is so consistent it's unbelievable.
