Last night I had a weirdly wholesome dream.

It started out as classic horror movie stuff, with me and some other people running from a scrawny, sickeningly inhuman entity. We ended up hiding in a bedroom, huddling under blankets and anxiously watching as it came closer, like a stop-motion doll rushing through the dark corridors.

But when it was almost next to us, I realized that it was just lost and distressed. So I took a risk and gave it a big hug. And it turned out that's all the poor thing wanted. It just returned the hug and calmed down - no scary side effects, completely harmless.

After waking up, I decided to draw this ghost before forgetting the dream completely. They will eventually get a home in my Miragia project somewhere.

It's weird how we are often told "never judge a book by its cover", and yet all sorts of media keep indoctrinating us with the same old stereotypes.
Yes, some creepy beings really are dangerous. But sometimes they just need a friend.
