Maybe you need to think about what art is, again. I'm pretty open-minded, but this fails in even my mind as any form of art. Besides, this isn't illiteracyβthe deviant knows perfectly well how to spell 'you'. An abbreviation is an abbreviation, and even the OED is going to add SMS-like abbreviations to their dictionary.

For the people who can't learn to read and write, they have my pity. But for the people who can and choose to not do it right (Yes, CHOOSE. Bad education is NOT an excuse, seeing as how I taught myself how to read after not receiving the skill due to my poor education.), they make me ill. If you can do it right, and then choose to present yourself as a moron, then be prepared to receive comments like this. During the few times I CHOOSE to type like an idiot, I give up my right to be offended when someone points out how retarded I look.
To answer your first question, in this day and age, reading and writing is a skill that can make or break your successful career. I don't know too many people who are happy working in shitty jobs, or being poor, because they didn't want to bother educating themselves.
