Thank you all so much for your comments! I've been moving, so I didn't even know that I had got a DD! It's awesome to find out... I sure got a kick out of it. Ego... Woo!
As for the image, it is depressing that it didn't come out as sharp as I wanted it to. For those of you that asked, this image was not altered at all in Photoshop. This came right out of my Olympus digital camera. The reason it came out slightly blurry is that the damn thing can't seem to focus at all in dark, but the awesome part was that I was able to adjust it so it nailed the contrast like that. I wish I was sharper, but I suppose it's got a but of an artistic quality that shows through.

That was an awesome night on the bay (I was with him). The air was cold, the view was amazing (as shown in this photograph) and the company was good, too.
I have to say, the quality looks pretty good, compared to my 35mm shots -- i love the tones and light bouncing off the water. You're an amazing artist, Matt.

Have to agree with kirigoe.. but this is a truly superb shot. Something does it for me in this image - possibly the fact that the amber tones accentuate the whole urban/big city/metropolis atmosphere. Awesome, congrats on the DD!

Agreed, the focus is more than forgiveable, because the shot itself is scrumptious.
Adore the auburn hue to it all, dotted with lights... it's very classic. Great color complements.
