Encouraged by ppl who seem to enjoy my dragon works I decided to add some to the pile of already existing dragon tutorials.
This won't be a drawing techniques guide - I won't focus on things like "add shade here, put light there, change brush to something". I assume u can handle your favourite medium yourself and in your own way. This is gonna be a design tutorial on how I'm used to make dragon figures.
I thought it will be a 2-part guide (sketch and colours), but it grows bigger as I make it, so there will be 3 pages at least. Sorry to those who don't like to read.

In part 1 u can find basics and general mechanics of how the dragon is built. It may seem boring to some of u, but I put there everything I have or used to have problems with, as well as things I find spoiled in other ppls works or just tips on how to achieve or avoid some effects. The same manner will continue on the next pages - again sorry to the bored with reading a lot.
