Coldplay--Prospekt's March/Poppyfields

I'm on a Coldplay-listening kick lately, which isn't all that surprising since they're my favorite band .

Went back to the museum today and drew the black-backed jackal again (see [link] ). I don't know what it is about the dead, stuffed jackal that captures my attention so much. Something about the way it's posed, just taking another step forward into a life long gone...or maybe just Anubis the jackal-headed Egyptian god fascinates me...or maybe I just think too much XD.

Lots of children swarmed around me while I painted this~! Good times. Sitting on the floor of a museum with a full set of watercolors proved both awkward and uncomfortable. What we artists do for our art.....
