[ramble alert] hello all, it's been a long time since i really last posted on here, huh? hope everyone is doing well in self-isolation! feel free to talk to me about your current experiences, i'm just a homebody as i always have been, totally fine with not stepping one foot outside for weeks on end! i exercise inside, do all my daily activities inside and have no problem with having zero human contact from the mysterious outside xD i have horrible allergies and sun sensitivities too so also another thing~~

i finally picked up my digital art stuff again this week after 9 months (of NO digital omgg wat) but i was having a lot of trouble working on a bigger piece, so i sat it out and found this old lineart of a piece from 2018. you can see the old one here: fav.me/dcjhtxy

i decided i would try and color it again since that's what i was struggling with, and it's not perfect, but i think i came to a result that was not entirely unsatisfactory. the lineart was looking hella weird so i edited it a bit. at least i can tell i've improved at anatomy in that way lol. As always i have trouble coloring hair... i look at tutorials and step-by-steps but i can never really replicate the results, or make it look decent unfortunately. hopefully i can get more practice as self-isolation is happening... maybe find my coloring style. i remember when i did that yuezheng longya piece back in that same year, somehow i could never color or draw decent digital art after that. i feel ssad T q T the old piece is here, i still think it's one of the best i have done: fav.me/dc63hlo

i really wanted to change up my coloring scheme but as expected, it's difficult for me to color with anything other than really bright colors. i have to use multiply to adjust the colors. it's only fitting that a person with a bright personality like me (on the inside eheheh) can only use bright colors. i wanted to be like one of those cool artists who does cool, noncontrasted colors with a dark vibe but i think it's too far from my real style.

i'm still trying to find my style, so bear with me > o < oh dear such despair.. ;;

thanks for being patient with me and watching me after all this time! even if i struggle, i will keep going because i really do love to draw. i was just so busy last semester and found myself lacking the motivation. i'm gonna try and keep making art for as long as i feel passionate about it, because who knows when i will grow tired? after all it's not my major so it's entirely possible! or worse yet... who knows when i will no longer have time for art?? when i go off to medical school in 2 years, i will have wayy less time. i regret not drawing like crazy in high school; even tho i did draw a lot, it wasn't productive

i'm only now learning to draw bara abs and stuff so i hope to have more digital pieces soon featuring some of those > v < right now they're all traditional since i'm more comfortable with traditional~

i will absolutely have a raffle at 400 watchers, so stay tuned for that ^ w ^b peace, please stay safe, stay healthy, and stay inside if you can <3
