Description
Computer Colored version: [link]I said way back in December that I was doing a colored pencil version of this drawing. I just now got around to it. It’s been hidden away in my To Do folder, and for me, out of sight is out of mind. But the mouse for the secondary computer died and I had nothing else to do, so...
I love using colored pencil, and I do love how this style looks, but I don’t use it often because it’s so tedious and time consuming. >.< And I broke one of my own rules for coloring with Prismas: Light areas first! I did do the skin first, but then I went on to color Amaya’s coat. When I went to color the fur, I ended up with a lot of smudging, with the white pulling in the blue. I’ve been using Photoshop too much, I can’t believe I forgot about that.
The scanner killed a lot of the texture of the hair, but at least I managed to save Zuko’s scar. When I scanned, it came out neon red, with no shading. A little desaturation fixed that, and that’s the only computer touchup I did.
Medium: Prismacolor pencils.

Oof! *is tackled*
Thank you! I like playing with coloring programs, but I still find traditional mediums easier. Especially since more and more people turn to software.

Zuko is good I know it. Look personl even if Aang does defeat Ozai that not gonna end the war for good. The only way to stop war is stop the evil seeds of madness before the spout and that means you have to change how people think! If Zuko can show his people the true reality of what this war has done to the world and themself then maybe the world can be saved. Change starts with just one soul making a choice and then following the actions of that choice! Zuko seen both sides and he proves in war their is no one victom everyone gets hurt in the bloodshed every single person and thing in war doesn't go unscathed everyone one is hurt one way or another! The only way to stop it for good is not to start in the first place. War is a result of the inabilty to comprimise and work out things or someone who aggonce and ego go way to far! Zuko must help Aang and his people!

I'm pretty sure I agree with all that. I definitely believe Zuko's good, and that he's going to help end the war and start a new way for his people.

There's something special about tradional media drawings these days...
Anyways, awesome work with the coloring. The hair, especially! And no (surviving) outlines, to boot.
...Heh, my scanner has issues with reds, too.

As interesting as computer coloring is, I still prefer traditional. I don't care how OMGAWESOME! art software gets, there's nothing like physical mediums. ^-^
The no-outlines was the hardest part, hence why I don't do this style often. You gotta draw the picture, then trace it very lightly, little by little. It’s a lot easier to use outlines. XD

You're welcome.
I know the feeling, I've been under an annoying case of Writer's Block myself and real life can make things hectic, so I do understand.
