Death the Kid: Ahem. Now that we got all of that out of our systems, let's redo this reunion. This time, let's make it perfectly neat, tidy, and symmetrical.Liz: J-JUST DIE!!

Oh goodness, I just adore these three. And the Thompson sisters better rescue Kid soon, because I don't know how long I'll be able to tolerate their separation. But I'm ridiculously excited for this new arc, because Dr. Stein is back, and its Kid, Liz, and Patty's turn for character development (because they are my four absolute favorite characters in Soul Eater).
Even though we don't know the colors, I decided to draw Liz and Patty in their new outfits from ch. 62 and 63. I'm guessing that since most of the outfits are following a white-and-sky blue color scheme, their outfits would be no different. And Kid's not wearing his new outfit yet, since he's a POW right now.
Fandom, you disappoint me, by the way. Liz and Patty Thompson do not get NEARLY enough fandom love, despite their obvious awesomeness. Kid, at least, gets lots of love, but that's to be expected of the most popular character in SE (according to the Shonen Gangan poll).

I thought the reunion was a little... understated. They were just like 'Oh hey, Kid's back' and they didn't really make anything of it.
A scene like this would have been nice.

I agree, I wish the Thompsons would get more love. They are the most underrated and underappreciated of the main characters, which is a shame.

They totally deserve it too...there's like, an entire treasuretrove of potential in their story with Kid if Mr. manga artist and storyteller would only tap into it.

They are also my favorite charas - I just love it how Liz have to deal with the two creazy sites of her sister and Kiddo-kun ^^

I recently got into the manga, about two months ago, and my sister and her boyfriend discovered the anime over the summer, so I haven't been waiting nearly as long as you guys have.
That reunion better be beautiful, I want tears in my eyes when I see/read that chapter.

Actually, there are quite a few KidLiz shippers out there. They just aren't posting as much fanart/fanfiction for the pairing. But don't worry, I plan to do an entire comic series of KidLiz once I finish the "Possible Escape Scenario" series.

That whole trio is one of the best groups in any fandom (the dynamics are so perfect!) I hope they finally rescue Kid soon, I can't take anymore of this unprogressive, month-to-month chapters of everyone ignoring Kid!

i agree on the lack of liz and patti love. I thought they'd be one of the more popular characters solely based on their appearance, but i was totally wrong. They're still totally awesome characters, but they're horribly downplayed. They'd better do some kickarse shet with the upcoming rescue.

How much better is the manga than the anime?

The anime was amazing. . . until they diverted from the manga after the Battle for Brew. In fact, the anime ended Brew a bit differently (Maka doesn't use Demon Hunter yet, and it ends with an emphasis on Kid's ability, not Maka's). The manga's version of Capture Baba Yaga's castle was soooo much more exciting (and funnier), and One Sanzu Line!Kid vs Mosquito was way more epic than the anime's Three Sanzu Line!Kid.
I reccommend starting from chapter 37 (it's the end of the Brew battle). [link]
