Description
So this is a villain for a character of my own design and creation, Adonis. I'm currently working on a 5-page submission script and have a synopsis at the ready. Hopefully I'll be able to start on the pages and get them into Image or someone to submit.This is the first MAIN villain. Not the first villain, the first MAIN villain. I wanted like, a doppleganger-like villain. Spidey has Venom, Superman has Bizarro, people with similar/same powers and look kind of the same, but they're not. I toyed about with the name Poseidon for awhile because this guy is water based to an extent. He's basically my Aquaman and starts off on the same ship as Adonis only he lands in the water. Thus, his suit has kind of tinted it's colouration.
I wanted to mess with his appearance as well having things like webbed fingers and toes designed for swimming and having him physically bigger so he instantly LOOKS stronger than Adonis. The reason I haven't settled on a name is because I'm toying with the idea HE wants to be the Adonis despite his hideous appearance. Quite of plays on the whole resentment thing towards his former colleague.

Lol. I just thought it fit because he looks like a burn victim with with Scars. IT's a reference to imperfection that the name Adonis does not have.

I like it. The whole bit about him wanting to be Adonis is good. Since "Anonymous" was in the same ship as your hero, I'm sure he knows all sorts of personal info to cause some massive damage later on. Were they friends----close friends? That could really put a lot of pressure on Adonis when they clash as enemies. Perhaps the transformation caused him to mix his life up with Adonis, which could really play on the Doppelganger aesthetic.
Wondering if underwater powers and all of that will be enough to make him last in a fight with Adonis.

It was all about extreme environments; space and water. Adonis is enhanced so will have a degree of super strength anyway and can virtually lift any weight given enough concentration and/or time. But it'll take time to learn that. Were as "Anonymous"s strength is pretty to the point, it's there, he doesn't need to think on it. So he'll be stronger at first.
They weren't freinds, just colleagues. Adonis/John respected his Captain but it was never reciprocated and was always a little spiteful of this upstart trying to get his job.

How about Glaucus as a name? He is a Greek sea god.

You know, I done that very thing. Because Adonis is a Greek myth I kept goign back to myths for inspiration for names. Adonis in Greek myth isn't a god were as Poseidon and Glaucus are so that was helpful in terms of suggestions the villain was more powerful.
I have to see. I have plenty of time the now anyway
