Sometimes to do these commissions I take them to work and draw during my breaks and the like just to get the things done. This seems to bring with it two benefits. 1) I get the drawing done sooner so I can start colouring if need be when I'm at home and 2) people at work see me doing one commission and start asking me if I can do one for them.
This deviation case in point. The drawing was for the guys son who is 5 so despite having Wolverine as a request I wasn't allowed to have all the general Wolverine-related stuff on page like blood, stabbing, bullets, etc. I gave the client a few sketches and we kind of came back with this. I did give the option of movie or comic versions, he chose the latter (thanks goodness, that webbing is a pain).

This is basically what the final product looked like minus the GK faded in the middle. He paid good money for this. Can't have people stealing it now can we I'm no colourist but I was really pleased with how this turned out digitally and the printed copy.
