Well seeing as I love all of the others that everyone else has done, and FMA is my All time favortie Anime, I had to defend Edward. He is my favorite character in Anime and it really pisses me off what the fandom does to him! I've been working on this for about ever so I'm so happy I'm finally done. These little things are a bitch to do, but it's so worth it! I had to save it in a lower quality to be able to upload it seeing as I'm on 56k.
I had SO much fun doing this, I think I'm going to see about defending the rest of FMA. At least my poor Alphonse.
That's right Alphonse, Nii-san will defend you!
I really do hate what the fandom does to characters, that's why I HAD to do this. It just rubs me raw when people destroy perfectly good characters, but hey that's just me, so I'm not going to go into a fan rant. I just avoid it. *sigh*
Anywho It's done, and I'm proud.
I drew it on my computer -most of it- scanned it, then printed it- then colored it with colored pencil and marker- then scanned it, it looked all pixelated- so I blurred the color- and yeah there's a reason it really doesn't look all too great.
Oh well I hope you all enjoy.

However I have noticed the many comments I keep getting either "Informing" me that Ed "really" is a Homoculus in BlueBird's Illusion or complaining about it.
1. Go through my damn Gallery I cosplayed Pride!Ed. I think I know WHO he is and about the damn game. YES Pride!Ed is hot but that doesn't mean I can't complain.
2. For the last time BBI is not Official therefore it falls in to the "fandom" category!
3.If all you're going to do is complain then keep your damn comment to yourself. This is MY comic meant to vent MY frustrations. If you've got a problem with the fact I HATE Ed/Roy guess what, I could give a damn less.
4. Lighten up people, it's a comic, therefore it's meant to be funny. Geez.

I have a oc I ship withΒ Al. and Al and Ed together is just so cute. it makes me a bit mad to see stuff like this. no, its not canon but that's the joy behind it. who wouldn't want a little kittyΒ Ed to snuggle. why mot have a pair of very loving brothers. who hasn't looked at the males in fma and think aren't they a bit close. He does have a brother other than Alphonse, and that actually is (technically) canon. you can find him in the right columnΒ

No, in "anime canon" he has Envy as a half brother, but that is only in the first anime. In the canon manga (where the story originated) and therefore Brotherhood, he has no other siblings. People take advantage of the word "brother" to think it means that they're suddenly close and nice to each other, which most people do in those envy fictions. That, or they end up with Envy raping Ed, which is just sick and doesn't make ANY sense whatsoever.

I actually don't think that. I actually am a bit of a fan for the "Cain and Abel" trope, and when I play around I always make Envy even more insane with hatred for his half brothers

I know that some things get out of hand (Why the heck is there so much RoyxEd??) and there are some odd things (I've never even heard of someone making Ed a homunculus) but you got to admit, the ones that are written well and go along well enough with the real story line can be pretty amusing to see another person's take of the Elrics. (I'm talking people that use most of the characters and events to create a decent alternate-reality for their world) I've actually read a few good ones, but you're totally right about the bad ones. I've stopped mid-chapter on some realizing it was Roy-Ed and was just like, "No." Cause its so obvious the outcomes of things like that!!

I know. i HATE RoyEd or EnvyED and I DEFINETLY HATE Elricest. However, one could argue that when you saw, "Ed loves his family." then later say, "And deifnetly not Al." isn't Al is family.

I'm a fanfic writer myself (haven't written any of the above though), so really I shouldn't talk. But I want none of this nonsense in my FMA cereal. No thank you.

Yeah, it's kinda scary on how people interpret Ed, but it actually is good for an artist/writer; someday, a person will take their idea and turn it into something different. Fan fiction is creative juice, fueled by our hopes and desires that this could happen in the official fandom. So in some ways, it's alright for people to do stuff like this, because it's their own interpretation. Basically, there all "What if" stories. And just read a lot of books in the same genre, and you'll see how similar some are, but how people twist it and make it their own. Overall, all this stuff you see is just how people are getting ready to make something of their own.
That's just my take on it, anyway. Long-winded one, actually.
But still...poor Ed...
Also, I really like the coloring. It looks so simple, but so eye-popping. Great job!

it really makes no sense that people take two boys who are main characters, like ed and roy, and make a gay couple. IF they were gay, we would know by now. but they arent, so it makes no sense to put it together anyway.

People should be openminded! I love FMA! All of them! Even the first series with the horrible ending! I like a lot of things that people make even! I love it so much that I read pratically anthing. I like Royed, I like Royai, I like Edwin, I like.. Alwin (?), Jean/Riza, and pretty much everything. Except for incest, that drives me the wrong way

I like this. It's creative and well-drawn, and I know what you mean about the Pride!Edward thing. Still, fanwork is fanwork. If you dislike something, fine, but it shouldn't be a bad thing if other people 'ship' something you don't like. I can really respect you for realizing that.
