This is such a cool piece. I love that there are birds amongst the flowers; it really makes you take a second look, and adds depth to the scene you've created. Between the birds and the woman being in profile, which to me makes it looks like she's about to start walking, it gives this one a lot of movement, too. My favorite part, though, is that you can see a building in the background... it really makes this feel like a peek into a real place, and gets you wondering where it is, what that building is, and if the figure you can see standing there is a person or a statue. I feel like everything in this piece really comes together; and with the flowers and that landscape, it seems like the perfect artwork for a botanist!
