why does every male rivalry have to yaoi-fied.
Maybe Keith is gay, maybe he isn't, but Lance isn't gay. Shido is a father figure/older brother role model. (I will disclose my ship bios for Allura X Shido for life)
But seriously Deviant Art, you can't Yaoi every bromance that graces fiction.

Here is my evidence that there is a chance that Lance is Bisexual. (Yes I agree no way he is full out gay, he flirts with every girl he sees) however the original paladins (Zarkon, Alfor, ect...) each represent a personality that is similar to the new paladins. For example, the original shows a very intelligent creature for the green lion, and a very flirtatious paladin for the blue lion. The new paladins feature Katy (Pidge) as the green lion who is very intelligent, and the same paladin for the blue lion, is once again a very flirtatious person, aka Lance. However in the clip that you see that features the original team, you see the blue paladin flirting with a male galra servant. Not only that, but when Lance talk about "Mrs.Blue Lion" in one of the episodes, he uses the exact same face when he flirts with girls. Not only that, but he also uses the same expression when talking about keith, of course when he's not there. I agree when you state that their relationship shouldn't be based off of them being Tsunderes, or Rivals. However they aren't rivals anymore. You can see that Lance has grown to be much more than what he seemed to be at first, and is shown giving advice to Keith when he starting making rash decisions as leader and put the team in danger. If you want a more in depth reasoning for this, watch a YT video from Fictional Crystals. She goes in depth with it, and doesn't treat it as a Ship. She treats it as a theory. I personally don't want a Yaoi ending either, and I also ship Allura and Shiro, however I believe that there is more to this ship than just shipping without reason. I personally ship Klance, but only with solid evidence. I agree that most of the Klance fan base are stretching it when they say, "Oh but they are rivals and stuff!" I understand your point of view, but not all of us Klance shippers ship just for the sake of shipping it. Not only that, but if Lance does end up coming out as Bisexual, then it's a great opportunity for character growth and development, which is one of my reasons for shipping. I'm not here to be an over sensitive brat, but I'm just trying to provide evidence that not everything you're saying is true. You're free to your opinion. Also, the fan base is mostly children/young teens. You won't find many 8 year olds watching Yaoi anime.

Also, there is a high chance that there will be an LGBT representative in the show, as the creators are being very secretive about it, and wouldn't be so secretive unless with a good reason. However, there isn't proof that it's rep will be Klance.

And honestly, there's nothing wrong with the ship. Lance could be bisexual. Just let people ship what they want!
What is wrong though, is that people fetishize gay people. That's what yaoi is. But honestly if they see chemistry between two characters instead of shipping it for the sake of shipping it, then let them be.

So listen, there is a lot of evidence that people seem to find that shows they are more than just rivals.like that scene where Allura and everyone else is helping unload the boxes with medical stuff in season 4. Allura spots Keith in the background and looks at him, then looks at Lance. A lot of people are thinking that she was trying to figure out what Keith was looking at, which shows why she turned to Lance. A lot of people spot the smaller things in the show's that could indicate even the smallest relationship, because if there is one, story is completely different. I mean, look at the difference of how they talk to eachother in EP.1 and season 4. Lance is heartbroken to see Keith go, showing that he cares for Keith, whether he cares for him in a romantic way, is unknown but people will infer so with all of the clues and evidence that shows they care for eachother deeply. Hope this gives you a little more understanding of the Klance Fandom.

Oh no I understand the Klance Fandom, a bunch of people grasping at any Straw or Excuse they can find to justify their Yaoi. (I don't mean that to be mean, if it came out that way sorry)
It is just like Trans Pidge fandom, people wanting something for reasons completely unrelated to the plot. They aren't interpreting the fiction, they are forcing the fiction to fit their interpretation, and looking for any excuse to make it reality.
Unlike Narske which is actually believable, and would actually enhance the plot, Klance only drags down the plot, turning an actually interesting character dynamics into your dimeadozen typical belligerent sexual tension.
