This is a great photo, but sad at the same time for there's one less book around. Aww. I like the tones

Eeh, it was horribly out-dated and infested with mold. it was best to dispose of it.

I love books.. And I love fire.. This is bittersweet!
Although, I'd love to see the original. I think putting it in black and white takes away from the natural ashen colors.

The original is actually low contrast that is polluted with smoke polluting the shot. Black and white was the best way to get it to work.
Fire is romantic and books represent knowledge. So you could take this many ways.
Thanks!

I hate to see literature burn....no matter what it is, all books should be treasured because people spent much time putting together words to inspire, teach/educate or bring to mind a topic, person, place, thing, etc through the simple act of turning pages and reading the words.
Very nice capture, I like that you did it in black and white, makes it more effective and () Idk the word right now, has a more drawing-in effect, I guess?
Its a shame we'll never know what it was, but at least people will view it and remember it because you chose to take a picture
~yea.......just thought I'd say that, idk what possessed me......anyways, awesome picture!

Hahahaha it's fine. I believe it was a book that was out of date by 20-40 years. There's no purpose for it anymore but to keep us warm xD I love the effect I stumbled across. It definitely makes this photo. I took it knowing that it would be a black and white photo, but I didn't think it would look so much like a relic.

The shed in my backyard had a bunch of old and soggy books that were 30 years old. So being the nice person I am for reading.. I burned the living crap out of those books!!!!!!!!

Looks like a school book from either history or social studies to me.
If it was in fact literature for college or university, perhaps it was
too early, but school literature isn't really that interesting at all.

That was probably college level books for the 1980s. They are incredibly old and horribly outdated.
Thank you.

Social Studies for College from 1980 certainly sound like
the stuff, which are only valuable for history, to see how
the people percieved themselves back then.
