Thx
It was big, but it was actually one of the minor departments of the University Library!

I think, that's a great composition and capture.
But didn't you consider removing that lens barreling distortion? Maybe with some software.
As for me, barreling is good on fish-eye lens or wide panoramas, but here it's a little disturbing, sorry for critics

Nope - distortion is a physical condition of the camera and I never fix it.
An image is not a mirror of reality but a reflection over reality - and the conditions and limits of the camera are parts of the framing of this reflection.

Thx - but then put the sister :thumb118110193: [link] into your B&W feature... That pic is underrated caus the darkness dominating the thumb.
But take a look at the full size pic - that's B&W when it's most simple and beautiful... look at the simple composition, and the light and its' reflection bringing out the structure of the dark wood.
Yes... I know... But it's one of my few darlings!

Yes, I do see what you mean about being dominated by darkness, but if it wasn't that way, I think the picture would be to overwhelming, almost? The small bits of light on the walls bring ou tthe knots and textures of the wood on the walls, and if you could see ALL of that, it mght look like 'OMG ALL WOOD!' I like darkness in BW photos anyways, I just think it has more character, and white, to me at least, pops out more on black than black would on a mostly white picture, you know?
Either way, I do adore the one of the library that you submitted to me already! The others are wonderful as well, but that one just said "WOW!" to me!
Especially since I just learned that the Library of Congress in the US has 650 MILES (1,040+KMS!) of bookshelves!
I love libraries, lol!

Oh wow, what an incredible looking library, it almost resembles a cathedral in it's majesty. You have really managed to capture some striking architectural pieces here.
