"Kitty" was my "substitute" cat, which I got after our previous cat Pim was killed by a car, and my gran objected to a new cat. Β For a long time she was my only "cat" - this changed after an increased number of mouse sightings in the cellar (not all of which, I have to admit, were real), which eventually caused gran to take Penny into the house.
It was quite a surprise how many mice there were in the cellar and garden, though, when Penny finally arrived - early on, Penny usually brought in a mouse every other day, if not daily!

Not at all "baby" kitty - Penny's a healthy 18 years almost, and Kitty's turning 28 this year!

Oh, that looks really cute!Β At least they are both--cats--this time.Β I love how Penny's and the doll's poses are so similar.
