Relentless, unstoppable, time seems to keep on slipping into the future, and progress seems to wipe away all that came before it.

At nearly the same spot where Brit31 took a picture of the local depot at the then Aalst-Noord station in 1974; and where I took a picture of the former local depot in 2016, its rails broken up to make place for a parking; today, in 2023, the old sheds and staff accommodation have since made way, replaced by a newly-completed multi-story car park for the commuters.

The places are the same.
The views keep on changing.
The pictures keep the memories alive of what was before...
