Description
See, this is what happens when you have all the inspiration for an image - you run out of ideas for when it comes to making a title. This is mainly the product of a little promise/push from ^Jules1983 - I got permission to use any of her beautiful floral photos for a vexel. Now, that promise was made a ridiculously long time ago, and I figured it was time to come up with the goods. lol
I also learned something while doing this - as much as I'd love to do detailed work properly, I'm really into making simple, stylized images. I guess this proves it. AND, from this point onwards, I'm not going to be pushing myself to make detailed vexels - for one thing I like simple ones more, but also I think I can develop a style to what I do. We'll just have to wait and see how that goes.

Hey, it kinda does too! Thanks for putting the idea in my head actually, it'd make a good gift idea for friends!
Would you like one as well? If you would, I could send you the file so you can make your own.

I wish I could T_T My printers are all black and white, so the artistic rendering will be lost
BUTTTT I hear some websites out there let you set the function and shipping things and such.

I would love to have this stenciled on my wall in my bedroom. It would make an aweseom focal point!
I love it, Kell. Perfect shade of green. :B

Great colors, I love the brightness and contrast of it. I like the detail you put in the flower and the swirls (again )

She has some very beautiful photography.
I really like this! The colors are great. Nice and bright, and nice contrast. I like the simplicity of it, too.
So . . . vexel is pretty similar to vector, right?

Aww thanks Gracie!
A vexel is very similar to a vector, yes. I guess the easiest way to describe them is that a vexel is a rastered vector. Where you can size vectors to any size imaginable and not lose any quality, vexels can a little because they're made of pixels.
That's not the best description, but I think it's roughly right. lol

Hmmm . . . OK, that makes sense. They seem to look a little different, too. Vexel seems to have more "layers," while vector tends to look more smooth . . . at least in the limited amount of vexel and vector art.

Hmm not necessarily. When effects like drop shadows and gradients are applied to a vector, it automatically makes it a vexel - because you've added raster effects to make it pixel-based. If it's just layer upon layer, but with no effects like those examples listed, it's still a vector (shape-based).

Hmmm . . . interesting. I'm sure I'll get it all figured out eventually . . .
