Description
My friend Dee (HoodedWoman) was making Kallen's bunny variant, and I wished that C.C. had a cute sexy variant in the anime. Dee and I however, came up with the idea of starting a big bunny group based off of Kallen's design with all of our female friends. I chose to go with the color dark green because it mimicked Kallen's color scheme. Kallen's bunny is pink, which is somewhat related to her hair color, so... Voila! Green for C.C.My favorite aspect is the steel boned bodice. It was my first time making a corset and I am elated with the results. Much time was spent figuring out how to get the bust area to stay up (and push-up) since it was a low back corset. After tinkering with the mock up for days, I finally figured it out and cut my good fabric. I used solid steel bones in the front panel and spiral steel up the seams everywhere else.
The ears were made out of a padded bridal headband, 5 gauge wire, fleece, and green 2way. They are a bit heavy since the ears are so long, but I wanted to be as accurate as possible to Kallen's design.
The shoes started off as a pair of black pat leather pumps, which were painted over with Angelus leather shoe paint. I bought a few different paint colors to get the mix just right, but now I have the whole paint set so... hooray, I'm ready for more crazy shoe colored cosplays.
As for the little heart-shaped rosette, I made it out of foamies. Then I sealed it with Mod Podge a few times to smooth out the jagged edges, then I painted it. After that, I used Envirotex Pour-on Varnish to get a glass-like finish. That stuff is amazing, I am addicted!

Did i ever tell you that you are my number 1 favorite female cosplayer? <3 The costume suits you very well. Was it hard to make it?

You haven't told me, but OMG THANK YOU! That is the best compliment ever! X3 <3!!!! And thanks! It was a lot of work actually, I had never attempted a corset before and a bunny suit is pretty much a corset. I believe anyone can make it, though, you just need patience!

Don't you hear that often that you are someone's favorite cosplayer?I though it would happen many times because i realy like your cosplays even though i don't know much about the series. When i see your cosplays i start ressearching about that series because it makes me wonder if the original characters look so good aswell. In one case you looked even better like in the Melissa cosplay XD

lol It happens occasionally but it doesn't make it any less special for me when it does! There are a lot of cosplayers I admire, so when someone says those things about me it feels really great. X3 <3 And hahaha, thank you! I didn't know my cosplays did that, I hope you liked the series after you checked them out! I can't wait to wear Melissa Pearce again. Whenever Christmas comes around, I think of Parasite Eve and I get excited for the holiday in a different way.
What are some of your favorite series?

Well Parasite Eve is one f my most favorite ones and i got more into it after i saw your cosplays ^^. And then there are the sailor moon series. I watched sailor moonwhen iwas little but i didn't understand much of it because i was probaly too young for it. But then recently i made soem ressearch about Sailor Moon and now i get what it all was about and how interesting it. That are my favorite series i like because of your cosplays and other ones are silent hill, resident evil,Zelda, Metroid and Mario XD i think costumes like Princess Zelda from legend of Zelda twilight princess or Alexia Ashford fromResident Evil Code Veronica would suit you too. Or what would look good on you aswell is Samus Aran in her older outfits. Actualy every character cosplayed by you would look good XD. Usualy often the Japanese guys or girls (sometimes you can't tell the diffrence since it happens that guys dress up as girls and girls as guys XD) looks best at cosplaying but i prefer your cosplays very much because you look so special and your costumes always suit your body and face without so much make-up (japaneses often use like 4 tons of makeup o.e). Not many cosplayers have that..ability? XD

Hahaha! Well I definitely appreciate the compliment. Do you cosplay or have you considered trying it out?
I love to play with make-up. I used to watch a lot of make-up videos on Youtube and learned the most from those. I spend a lot of time before a photoshoot making sure my face looks like the character so sometimes I contour my blush a little differently to fit the character's face better. ;D It is a simple thing to do but not a lot of cosplayers know about it. I am planning to do some cross-play in 2013, so I will start researching how to look more masculine, too! lol
I love Samus' older outfits. The one with her green hair and the red bodysuit is my favorite! She looks so good. And thank you, I really appreciate that. I am so happy that someone understands how much work it can be to really try and look like a character. Some people it comes very naturally because they look just like them, but make-up and contact lenses are a very important part of the costume as well.
I feel the same way about old series I used to watch as a kid and now as an adult. I didn't understand too much of Sailor Moon as a kid, either! I understood the plotline with Queen Beryl just fine and some of the character's flaws, but they had a lot of character complexities that were way more obvious to understand as an adult. It is just a great show for kids AND older folks to enjoy.

I tried cross play as Link but that was kinda weird lol.
The videos on youtube are realy cool. I saw realy special things already there like making lips look bigger or changing the face shape a bit.
Wow that is great Did you think about doing a cosplay as the old school Samus? I realy wonder how it would be especialy because there is no real Artwork that shows her
.
But im sure with imagination it could work out pretty well. Or as said Alexia from Resident Evil would look good on you or one of the Zelda's (there are so many looks of her ).
yes Sailor Moon was great back then and now it still is. What series i also like is when you have to think by yourself aswell. Like in Silent Hill. The storys are very twisted but if you think realy much about it and make also own ideas it all makes more sense.
Do you know already as who you would cross play?

How comfortable was it to wear with solid ones in the front. And what did you use for the wires under the bust?

Kapalaka In reply to Squeakum175 [2012-11-15 15:10:56 +0000 UTC]
I found it very comfortable. The trick is to use bones that are just the right size. Most people make the mistake of buying bones that are too long and they dig into their pelvis when they sit down, so don't get bones that go any lower vertically than 1" above your pantyline.
I used spiral steel for the bones along the princess seam and did not use a bra wire cup. I instead put an extra bone on the other side of the bra cup and wore a strapless bra underneath. If I could remake this again, though, I'd recommend installing a bra into the suit itself and using and underwire cup.
