Backstory

Akame was born with her twin brother Katashi. They were abandoned, or rather made into orphans, at a rather young age. So, both of them struggled in a continually evolving Gensokyo. They had managed to make a living off of their abilities of manipulating barriers after a certain point. However, they eventually got into a fight when deciding between finding their parents and staying as they were. They then went their separate ways. For some time, Akame was doing nothing but just troubling others. Then, came the Vampire Incident. During said incident, the human village was under attack, being the biggest human settlement in all of Gensokyo. While Keine and Mokou were both struggling to defend the Human Village, Akame, in act of pity, blocked off the human village from all its outside attackers, at least letting it temporarily survive the worsening incident. Astonished that a youkai of all people saved them, the humans welcomed Akame as their own. (In fact, most forget she is a youkai.) Now she waits, and defends the Human Village from any harm that could possibly occur.

Personality

Akame tries to come off to others as a rather cocky and overly confident person, and to an extant, annoying. She struggles not to get anyone close to her, or vice versa. In that sense, she builds emotional walls between her and others. Very few have ever seen how she real is: soft, gentle in tone, and overall calm. She's really just a little girl for a youkai, so that's how she sometimes acts. Still, one must wonder if she'll eventually find balance.
