4Kids is a studio that adapts anime for Western audiences. They're extremely unpopular over here for bastardizing anime to make them more "kid-friendly," making unnecessary cultural changes (Al Khan, CEO of 4Kids, once said that "once we're done with it, the kids won't know it's from Japan."), and hiring really shitty voice actors.

Oh definitely. Some of the changes 4Kids introduces generate plot holes, which ends up confusing the audience. And sometimes the changes they make don't even make a lick of sense.

I'd totally expect that (although some random main male would probably get on the fans' nerves- The Touhou guys don't stand out that much).
However, the fanimes I've seen are pretty good (there is a spa scene in one of them, though; go figure). I look forward to the next one from MAIKAZE.

You made a mistake in panel 3. You said Reimu instead of Rachel.
I always wondered about what if 4Kids got Touhou for a while, now: I figured out that Marisa would keep her first name, too. But I thought that "Sakuya" would have forks, spoons, or at the very least, butter knives.
That "Yuyuko" wouldn't have any back story about her death (we would only know that she's ghost and that's it) and would have the power to manipulate butterflies.
And that Dan Green would voice "Unzan".

Everything that would involve shipping between Marisa and another girl like Alice or Patchy would be removed. It's not even canon.
And I don't think they just make families like that in 4Kids. Mokou and Kaguya would most likely just be rivals for something very petty.

I'd personally give Touhou to Funimation. That would mean that Remilia would be voiced by Laura Bailey, who voiced Evangeline in Negima, who is that series' equivalent to Remilia (if you look at the series closely, you can see that Ken based a lot of characters on some of the Touhou girls, just look at Yue).
