Description
For my Hell! series
Character sheets for DMC2-era Nero and Dante.Dante, after the events of DMC2, travels to hell and finds his brother, who has not aged since Mundus released his spirit upon his defeat. Nero, who is told by a worried Trish and Lady that Dante has not yet returned from said trip, follows.
They eventually meet up and struggle back to the human world with Vergil in tow.
At this point, Nero can fully control his devil arm and partially-transform when necessary, facilitating his use of both Red Queen and Yamato simultaneously. Dante solely wields Ebony&Ivory and Rebellion. Vergil has to do with his summoned swords, since Dante won't allow Nero to give back Yamato until he's sure Vergil won't go berserk on him again. (This is an inconsistent fact with the following pics, but I'm developing the story as I go XD)

I'm pretty sure DMC4 comes after 2 in the timeline. I may be wrong, but the director of the game has stated that Dante is almost 40 by the events of 4.

I love the Nero design could you do a full color concept of him? I cant see how his human arm merges into the Demon arm holding Yamato and not get in the way.

I'd show you Rae's "Trigger of Thymia", which is where I got the inspiration for the concept of Nero juggling both swords, but it's back in Mexico.
Basically, he's wielding Yamato with his demonic right hand and Red Queen in his left. His left arm is also partially transformed, allowing Yamato's sheath to grow out of his arm as it does in Nero's shadowy demonic form.

yeah I see that but the problem is that it looks like his hand has morphed into the sheath so he wouldnt be ablt to draw red queen and use Yamato at the same time. Plus the Yamato sheath would interfere with his ability to weild a sword in his left hand since it would prevent him from bringing his weapon tight to his body or using it in a reverse style.

Thanks! It was taken from the DMC4 concept art book, which has a TOOOON of different costumes for Nero, many of which looked like they would've belonged to a younger Vergil haha

Y'know, I had an idea similar to this one. In it, though, Dante winds up in a dungeon in hell, and Virgil managed to become the new king of hell (I don't know, it was barely a concept and a random one, at that, lol). Awesome drawings and designs for them both, by the way.

I was, yeah, but it's been so long and the new DmC has put a wrench in all my plans... and also, I am TERRIBLE at finishing comics on time, haha...
So it's more than likely that no, I won't... but the idea is still out there, and it intrigued a lot of people and made them think, so I think I did a good job by sharing the concept of it (:
