Nowdays airplanes, have the cockpit in the front part of the plane, but most of the spaceships, have the cockpit in the back of the plane, why? Just a curiosity.
Oh, and nice draw, well done. I liked you have made it in different views.

- With a plane: the rear cockpit brings your balls on a 2000CΒ° steel jet engine. So engineers put pilots in front of the engines, where you contribute to the aerodynamics/intake.
- With a spaceship : you are sat between the engines, and thus keep 10m of steel in front of your balls to avoid space dust to spread them.
But this ship is an hybrid one : it keep wings for air usage and air intakes.
To Karanak : excellent job ! congratulations. (to provide more realism to a modernized X-Wing : it should be a good idea to bring foldable metal shields around the cockpit against space dust. A cockpit would be unusable in true life and video cameras/radars would bring a better view ( Ala Star Trek . )

Wow, I didn't expect that someone wolud answer my question! It looks like you know something about this. Thanks for the answer. But, the spaceship explanation isn't very good. The design of this spaceship looks like a F-1.

EPIC! I'm totally going to check out the game.....hopefully it has a free account option.
One question on the design of this. What are the vertical pieces on the wings for, vertical stabilizers? Or do they cover the guns?

Dam, this design seems familiar and unique at the same time. It brought back memories of so many ship designs I grew up with as a child. Yet it's something I've never seen before. Really impressive. Wish it was real, even as a toy. Also....google sketchup/photoshop.....SHIIIIIIIITTTTTTT, this is above bought of them.

That is bad ass!!! - I presume the wings open to become air / magnetic brakes? - instant favorit!

Nice, I really like this one. The nose sort of reminds me of a F1 car, and the Canopy almost looks real. Awesome job.

When the concept-art looks better then the wallpapers from the game, then you know you're doing something right.
