AHHHHHHH SO THIS TOOK LIKE 7 OR 8 HOURS AND IM SO PROUD OF MYSELF. I THINK THIS IS MY FAVORITE ART PIECE YET!!!

Owibyx I hope you like it! It’s Desertbloom dancing in a sun shower (because April shower s bring May flowers) and he’s got a little flower crown.

Here’s a little story that i wrote with it:

Ok close your eyes Desertbloom ,” Midge said in that calm, kind voice that he has. He smiled widely and his cheeks turned to a shade of purple. I listened to him, giggling softly.

“Now don’t peek,” Midge informed me. I could feel his cold talons that contrasted against the hot desert as he placed them on mine. “Follow my tail,” Midge simply said.

“Ok,” I said, unfurling his small antennas. I sensed the vibrations in the warm air around him. I could make out the swaying tail that was Midge’s. He started walking and I obeyed him by trailing behind his tail.

“Watch your wings now. You don’t want to get them scratched,” warned Midge. I heard a faint buzz, and I could feel him tuck his wings behind him. I did the same because Midge always knew what was best for me.

Beneath me the soft sand faded into hard stone. The sky above me seemed to disappear as well. I knew my surroundings had turned dark and there were now tight walls surrounding me.

“Where are we going,” I asked. I continued to follow Midge’s swaying tail with my eyes closed as he confidently strode forward. His head swiveled around and my antenna could sense a faint smile.

“You’ll see, well when I tell you to open your eyes,” he replied. We walked for a little while longer. The air turned from hot and dry to warm and humid. The stone beneath me became to soften and there was a sound echoing in the tunnel that I couldn’t place.

“Ok, Desertbloom, you can open your eyes now,” Midge said. I did and there standing before me was the rainforest.

“Midge how did we get here!” I questioned with the biggest smile on my snout. There were trees! Actual trees standing in front of me with their long bulging roots deep in the ground.

And was this what mud was?! It was brown and looked a little sloshy, but it wasn’t boring sand that stretched for miles around you.

“This tunnel,” Midge said, flicking his wings, gesturing behind him. “An old animus dragon enchanted it to connect the desert and rainforest worlds. I stumbled upon it a while ago. Happy anniversary!” He leaned forward and nudged my snout. “I love you,” he whispered softly.

“I love you too,” I whispered back. Behind us, thousands of sounds and scents filled the air, but I could still smell Midge’s sweet scent.

“Now go and have fun!” Midge said with a big grin. He gestured with his wing towards a clearing where the sunlight lit up the mud below. I ran excitedly towards it, dodging over roots and ducking under branches.

I leaned into a giant puddle sending droplets of mud everywhere. I closed my eyes and smiled towards the sun as I skipping happily around in the mud.

The talons were soaked in the soft dirt and the flower crown Midge gave me shone in the sun beams. I couldn’t have been more happy.

It was Midge’s and I’s anniversary and we were really in the rainforest. In the trees, hundreds of flowers were blooming marking the first day of spring.

“Thank you Midge.”

Eskoniss I will note you the digital ref tomorrow because of shading his color aren’t as bright, but here’s the boi.
