tried to finally draw their height difference as accurately as i can? this was just supposed to be a really quick doodle for a reference but i liked it and tried to clean it up (ry's hand and also face bother me a LOT but i didn't have a ref and it's late)ryker's like 6'2" and xan's around 5'8" so they're like. tol and shorter than average? doesn't quite have the same ring as smol and tol but you guys tried
i also have no idea what these facial expressions are pls just bear with me

oK OK i've been convinced. i'm sure it's still an absolute mess whenever he wakes up tho? xan's is probably worse but i don't think he ever really fixes it. it just eventually settles down on its own

yeah i think every now and then it doesn't do too much damage but dying your hair frequently is pretty tough on it

I'm aiming to draw a lot more of my human OCs this year so hopefully you'll see them more often yeah!! Kinda want to do some quick comic pages as practice and as a way for people to actually see how my characters act?

There's 20 for the main cast of this story and I've neglected the other 18 sO MUCH,, they're all like one big space family though I love them. I did finally start sketching headshots for everyone so hopefully I'll get that finished soon!

Oh, I'd love to talk about my oc's but I have a few problems-- mainly because english isn't my first language and I'm afraid that I'll say something wrong or I'll make a typo and that's kinda frustrating. But hey, I can try, It's not impossible!~

I've been developing the rest of the cast more lately so at least I'm evening out my attention a little more now? Their universe still needs so much work though and the plot has just dissolved. I have no idea what's going on now?? Buuut I'll figure it out eventually
Aa I get that yeah, my first language is English but it's certainly not an easy language, and my writing in my second language (French) is less than fantastic so I totally understand! Your English has also seemed really good to me?

Right, right, I understand, it happens to me all the time, the stories mix up or everything goes wrong, sometimes the plot disappears or it doesn't makes sense haha~

The story's been around for years now so it's just gotten really convoluted as I get new ideas, change the setting and develop/switch characters in and out. The world's gotten massive too so there's just a lot to work with. I've been planning to get it straightened out a bit but it's sorta hard to just sit down and tie up all the loose ends in one go :/
Yeah it's pretty tricky (the grammar especially for me), but I've been learning it since I was like 6 so I've had a decent amount of time with it. Doesn't mean I use it that often though so I'm not great. And it's pretty impressive that you've been learning two languages? I know one's more than enough to handle for a lot of people

Yes, the grammar is the worst thing, but it's a lovely language so it's worth it~ Oh that's cool, I've been learning it since... three years ago? I'm a beginner heh. I'm actually trying to learn Italian too, some members of my family belong from Europe so I have that influence! But I don't think I could learn more than the basics of it

Yeah it's a pretty big hassle but I think stuff's starting to come together (I have to start making a bunch of side characters though god). I've gotten super attached to the world and all the characters over time aa,,
I think over time you start learning to just recognize certain grammar points intuitively? Though that doesn't always work out well for me and I know some of my other classmates who've been learning it for just as long still struggle a lot.
And woah ok three extra languages is a ton?? At least a lot of the romance languages have ties so it won't be entirely new stuff. God we had to take a couple of semesters of Mandarin back in middle school and it was sUPER hard because it wasn't like any languages I was familiar with. Plus there isn't exactly an alphabet so you can't just sound words out

hm that's just a difference of 2 inches then so yeah that'd be around average?
(i think i messed up and he was actually supposed to be around an inch shorter but that still doesn't make a huge difference)
