Excellent.  I have multiple RPG characters if my own if you'd like to come see them.

YOU.
ARE.
AWESOME!!!
This is great!  I mean it!  The smile is her special brand of cocky and playful!  The color of her eyes is also spot on.  The ears are the right size and shape, the tusks are the right length and thickness, and those cheekbones!  Lovely!  I cannot tell you how happy this makes me!  It's wonderful!  Her hair is especially great.  It's elegant but kind of sassy, too.  Just like Perdita.  From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for doing this!  It's really made my day.

Also, that smile of hers made me think of this song for some reason: www.youtube.com/watch?v=YSWkKS…

I'm glad you like it!

I thought for a while about drawing Perdita (especially after you uploaded those "Hero Forge" images). I wasn't sure about her colors though, I remember that she was called "sage monkey" as a kid and that she is dark haired.

Perdita is a really cool character and deserves more Art featuring her!

You got her violet eyes, too!  I'm glad you put the work into drawing her.  I'm putting together a Word document with reference images and notes both for my use while writing the books and for artists to use when they're drawing her.  If you'd like me to email you a copy when it's done, send me note with your email address.  The document's over a hundred pages long right now, but that's mostly reference images with a few lines of notes on what it is in the picture that reflects Perdita or her gear.  (That's how I ended up spending so much time researching 18th century undergarments, actually.  Interesting stuff!)

Perdita's a cool character to write about, so I'm glad that people are starting to take more of an interest in her.  Her spirit is kind of infectious and I find myself surprised by all the things she does.  Yes, I'm the one coming up with the ideas, yet as I get her figured out more and more, the ideas come so fast, I barely know how I'm conceiving them.  It's like a chain reaction gets set off and I have very little control over it.  Sometimes I can't write things down fast enough.  This is yet another reason I feel like writing is what I need to be doing for a living.  Plus, if I inspire artists like you to draw fun and interesting characters, I feel like I've made a good contribution to the world.  More than anything, I want my work to make people feel better and give them happiness.  I want Perdita and the other characters to make people think, "I can be a force for good."  Even if it's just inspiring them to smile at others they meet, that's something.

I guess it's like this:  Perdita knows she's awesome, but she believes that everyone is capable of being awesome in their own way and tries to help them attain that.  It ties into her desire to invest in small businesses and help people get connected to others so they can help each other even if she's no longer involved.  I hope that my audience will be inspired to do things like that, maybe not in the exact same way, but in their own way.  If people say they were motivated to do something noble and charitable, or brave and amazing, because of the stories I wrote, that will mean more than making tons of money ever would.  If I make lives better, directly and indirectly, then that's something truly significant.  Sure, financial success is necessary to make this my occupation, but I'm not doing this to become the next J. K. Rowling, at least in terms of money, I'm doing this because I love it and I hope it reaches people's hearts.  I hope and pray that it enriches other lives as much as it has enriched my own.

And even if you're just doing your stuff as a hobby, I want you to know that your work has enriched my life as well.  It truly has.  I love your style, Karchew.  Your characters are interesting, their outfits are amazing, and some of the scenes you've draw have honestly taken my breath away.  You have a great hobby and I'm looking forward to seeing how your abilities grow.  That's why I was so touched by you drawing a picture of Perdita.  You really captured her essence with the smile you gave her, and her hair looks phenomenal.  I printed it out and have it on my office wall. I find I keep glancing at it when I start to feel a little tired and it gives me the motivation and inspiration to keep going.  It's like she's looking at me, saying, "Come on!  You're almost there!  Just keep at it a while longer!"  I'm truly grateful for what you did, so keep up the great work!

Sounds good – I will gladly take a look at it. When we're at it, I could send you the original size of perditas drawing, it has a way better quality than the deviantart-version.

And now Perdita sounds even cooler. Everyone should know a Perdita, she just makes life better for everyone.

Aww, thank you, it makes me really happy to read that! I hope you get a lot more Perdita fanart, you deserve it!

I will gladly take you up on that offer!  I can send you a note with my email if you want.  And, yes, we all need a Perdita in our lives.  Good thing I'm writing books about her, then, right?
