Description

She had lost him and the magic sword had not saved him.

There was only one thing left to do. She had to stop the enemy, whatever the cost.

My OCs Kaelandra and Carralas. Kaelandra is a highelf princess and a gifted mage, Carralas is a highelf knight.

What a heartbreaking scene!   The way she candles his head and holds his hand makes me feel so sad for them. Did she manage to avenge him and stop the ones who killed him?

Thank you!

Yes, she managed to do so, but she had to sacrifice her own life.

Oh, I feel sorry for them!   It's really hard when characters' stories have a sad ending!

Yes it is. But it's an important part of Sagaras past (though he wasn't born then).

Oh, dear.  She looks ready to hurt a whole lot of people.  This is a really powerful image you've made.  The blood on the floor, the poses of the characters, the sword lying next to him, the way his hair and cape are splayed out under his lifeless body, it's all so chilling.  And then there's the woman, putting her grief aside for the moment to finish the work that needs to be done.  I get the feeling she's going to be dealing with the enemy with a very cold ruthlessness.  Well done.

You hit the black as always. I'm just amazed how well you can interpret pictures.

I think it's because I'm a storyteller, to be honest.  I've studied how stories are told in all sorts of mediums.  Books, pictures, comics, radio, television, films, plays, video games, they're all different means of telling a story.  A very detailed story can be told with just one picture, like you've done with this one.  Even though you can't see the names of the characters from the image on its own, you still know that this woman cared for the dead man on the floor and that she's holding back her grief in order to deal with whoever killed him.  The tears will flow later, but not now.  That's a powerful and compelling story all conveyed without words.  I love stuff like that.  I love seeing all the different ways a story can be told.  And I love how you're telling this one, Karchew, so keep it up!
