She is SO cool! I'm glad you wrote about her backstory in the comment above, because she's a very interesting person. I really love her hairstyle and all the pricing in her ears too!

Thank you! I'm happy to have positive Feedback on her, I wasn't sure if her design is kind of over the top.

Now that is an antagonist that means business!  I'm really curious about those scars.

Thank you!

She's a descendant of a treacherous group of fay-like beings that has been banished to the world of dragons. Since those fays and the dragons hate each other, they are on constant war. Xallianterra has once been captured and tortured by a group of dragon mages (they can take a humanlike shape). They disfigured her and kept her from healing herself, so that she was forced to live with the scars. At first she hated her scars, since fay-beings are very vain, and hid them, but as she got older, she accepted them and even used them as her symbol. All her followers have to wear a tattooed rhomb around their right eye as a sign of devotion.

Please do!  She's got a really interesting look to her, so seeing her in different scenes would be great!

I've planned another picture with her, but I have so many other things on my list. So many plans, so little time!

Ah, the eternal dilemma of the creative mind.  "I have all these ideas but not enough time to use them!"

Yes, as always. It would be easier if I could make money with my hobby, but I can't be creative when under pressure, so it stays a hobby.

That's understandable.  Deadlines are not something that bring out the best in me.  I get too stressed and end up second-guessing every decision I make, which doesn't help with productivity in the slightest.

Yeah, that stresses me too. That's also a reason why I don't do art trades or similar things. I start to overthink everything and get nothing done in the end.

Many years ago I was at a drawing school and at that time I have drawn less than ever for myself. I almost started to hate it. That's when I realized that drawing has to stay a hobby for me. Now I work as a designer and occasionally illustrate something for work, but my character designs and fantasy drawings are an important part of my time off that I don't want to sacrifice for money or success.

And keeping it as something you can enjoy, not something that causes you stress, is very important.  If you can't find satisfaction in it, if it makes you unhappy, instead of happy, then what's the point?  You're depriving yourself of a positive experience by pursuing it the wrong way.  For me, I find my day job incredibly aggravating, but writing I feel more and more that writing books and telling stories is what I want to do with my life.  It feels right and the positive feedback I'm getting has really shown me that I'm suited for it.  It's stressful, but in a way that brings me satisfaction, unlike my day job, which just pays the bills.  I'm not going to just up and quit my day job until being a full time writer is viable, of course, but this is the goal I have for myself, and I feel I'm getting closer to it day by day.

I wish you the very best of luck by becoming a full-time writer very quickly, so you can do what you really enjoy to do and earn money with it!

My luck is that I really like my job. It's a creative job, but it's not a personal kind of creativity. It makes a good balance between work and my hobbies.

That is a good balance.  The good thing about my job is it doesn't require a great deal of brain power on my part, so I'm free to think about story ideas while I work.  I type them up or do some writing during my breaks, so it's got some good advantages, in that regard, at least.

Haha, sounds good. I wish I could write at work from time to time. What you do for a living?

I work at a hospital.  I'm part of the department which delivers supplies to the different areas.  Most of my work is loading up a cart, walking to a certain clinic or unit, delivering the stuff, and heading back to do the process all over again.  Since I've been doing it long enough, I barely have to think about what my hands are doing while I work, so I can come up with ideas for my stories.

I do not know why, but I find hospitals interesting as long as I'm not a patient in it – though, well, then too. I am also a huge fan of House M.D. and stuff like that.

Yeah, working at one is a lot better than being a patient in one... though some days my job leaves me feeling like I might end up as a patient!
