Was trying to go for a teen/Young Woman version of a Night Elf (Kaldorei) :3. I think she turned out adorable! My eldest daughter has named her: Elandris Moonhaven, and wants to make a character that looks like her in WoW. Wonder what class she'll be.Someones little stash drawing of my Elf :3.

I was drawn to this image because ten or so years ago I used to play World of Warcraft. My favorite characters were always Draenai and Night Elves. Perhaps I admired the latter a tiny bit more because of their skin color, white eyes, and connection to Mother Nature

I like how the Night Elf is sneaking out of the foliage in search of fireflies for one of the many minor quests in the game. The leaf foliage is painted quite well! The thumbnail image is a good indication of this, but when I zoom in a lot of the image appears blurrier, which is a bit disappointing. But donβt worry, thatβs a common drawback with painting. I always strive to make my paintings sharp and clear so it doesnβt appear weβre looking through a smudged lens.

I like how mystical her eyes are! And the tattoos on her face are a typical trait for night elves. I love it! But perhaps the fireflies could have a similar glow? They also appear blurry.
I see you did some strokes in her braids to indicate individual hair, which is another step in the right direction. But a tad unfinished perhaps? Itβs somewhat inconsistent that her braids have strokes of hair but the rest of her hair doesnβt.

This may sound strange, but I love how you did her lips! They have a nice dark shade along with highlights to indicate proper depth (and moisture). They make her appear more ladylike despite being ferocious in battle, and I like that!

The only other area I can pick out to critique is the background. You could perhaps tell a better story if her background was more distinct of the starting area of the night elves. Iβm not sure if sheβs in Felwood or someplace else.

She's an absolutely cutie!
Unafortunally I saw her more as a teen, early adult and it feels it has to do with that the lips are applied with make up but also that she doesn't have rounded cheeks. I like her hair being in a braid and the green gem on her shirt is definatly a nice touch! I'm unsure if kaldorei children have markings though, I've heard that its something that they recieve as adults but they're done really nicely.Β
I also wished that the fireflies would have been in even more focus while the background is perfectly blurred yet kept there in a subtle hint aswell as her hand infront of her, maybe abit of blurring on the shoulder and arm would have been a top notch detail.Β
The atmosphere feels great and it gives out that classical darnassian "feel" to it.Β

Thankies! I agree, I think it's me being older that has me seeing her as a 'child' (Anyone under 18). I swear the older we're all getting the younger everyone else looks o.o. I should have stated that she was a teen / young woman etc. I was thinking she was underage, and therefore a 'child', and not how typically a 'child is viewed to be a youngling ^_^. Woops! I will change it! I drew her to be about 14 (In human years, probably about 230~ in Kaldorei).Β
I actually looked up the markings and found they were earned as an 'Earlier Right of Passage'. There is no age for this, only that it happens. Since, traditionally in my family, we get piercings at 13 (Puberty); it felt appropriate to me that she would have earned hers :3. However, that is different for everyone, everywhere in the world. and many don't do a Right of Passage for their families anymore.

First of all let me say congratulations because you did a really good work in this piece. The idea of using some blur is very effective to attrackt peoples attention to the night elf. This sparkling detail on her face is so soft and pretty! About the age of the character, well yes I wouldn't say child but to me is a teenayer. Wonderful background too, well taken colors, like the green detail on her clothe, it's an excellent option considering that you're using blue and purple. Oh but please! you have to do a blood elf so your daughter feels inspired to come to the horde! hahaha my main char is a hunter blood elf

I was just telling kirbygirl20 that I was thinking of doing just that! Maybe make a series of teens from all the races, I'll do a blood elf next I think :3.Β
One of my daughters actually plays on horde with me occasionally :3. She likes to play as either a Panda, or a Bloodelf

Awesome! I love the vines in the front, I may be a Horde player, but even I can appreciate a good Nightelf ^^ I might suggest putting some more colour into the white, personally I can never decide how I want to colour my whites...

Haha, I should do that really, I'm just so used to the Horde! And I get really confused in Stormwind.
I took a break from it a while back, came back and they have entirely flipped over the cities o.o. I was lost for months, lol! I totally feel you. Also, it's hard to switch sides if you don't have friends already playing there. I have lots of real life friends on the horde, and my husband and kiddos play on the Alliance. I'm never without company.Β

I always got so confused by all the roads! It always felt so...constricting I suppose, Orgrimmar has a lot of open space. I myself don't usually play with anyone, me and my dad share an account, and there's nobody else I know who plays, so I'm pretty used to playing by myself ^^

I've saved a spot in my realm for one of those new unlockable race, though I'll admit, I haven't been paying it too much attention into the specifics, what exactly are they?

So, basically, you can earn Rep (as usual) with certain factions, and when it is high enough the new races will unlock for you: Lightforged Draenei(Alliance), Highmountain Tauren (horde), Void Elves (Alliance), Nightborne(horde), Dark Iron Dwarves (Alliance), and Zandalari Trolls(Horde)!Β
It's going to be pretty awesome! Also, I happen to really enjoy PvP :3! I'm excited!

Hm, sounds interesting, it'll be nice to see a bunch of new races running around, even if they are similar to pre existing races.
I'm a pretty big pvp goer myself, though almost entirely as a healer, I have alts for every healer in the game, so you might be able to imagine my preference. XD
