Description OK let me just say I HATE these error message things but I saw one with the cake icon and couldn't resist.

It's based on a routine by Eddie Izzard (I used the Death Note version because the ones of Eddie doing the routine have swearwords): [link]

I know right? After I saw that routine I bought the DVD he does it in. I love that he tends to use more historical references than pop references. It's refreshing.

Kari-Twilight-Mist In reply to i-love-nyan-cat [2011-07-21 19:15:55 +0000 UTC]

Yes he is. I like him because he seems rather complex. Like how he helped Near at least twice in the case despite their rivalry. Or how he was a killer but genuinely didn't want Mr. Yagami to die. He also respected Takada despite who she was and what she did. He didn't have to give her a blanket. He was a gentleman anyway.

I fell in love with Eddie for this exact routine. He's got some great stuff out there. Huh maybe I could request a DVD for Christmas. I'll have to pick which one to ask for. I have a habit of searching Youtube for comedy videos so I recently for my birthday for Robin Williams Live On Broadway and it was way worth it. ^-^

I say she/he because she/he's a transvestite is all. XD I haven't seen all of her/his work but I'll have to look for those. Oh and I know you sent another comment but apparently everyone decided to send me replies at once so it's a bit buried but I'll get to it!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

dontcallmehuman In reply to Kari-Twilight-Mist [2010-10-08 16:54:36 +0000 UTC]

Yes, but unlike transsexuals, transvestites tend to identify as their original gender, except some who are more 'drag queen'-esque and might go by a different name because they're playing the role of a woman. Eddie talks about it in a few of his shows (though he makes it clear it's just something he enjoys and not a deliberate 'act' to shock) and often calls himself a 'male tomboy' or an 'action transvestite'.
"Running, jumping, climbing trees, putting on makeup when I was up there"
I can't actually remember what the reply was, so no need to worry XD

Kari-Twilight-Mist In reply to dontcallmehuman [2010-10-09 00:27:33 +0000 UTC]

Oh OK I kinda remember the transvestites in the army routine. Haha "Camo makeup is not very attractive" or something similar was hilarious.

XD There was also this part after he did a mime routine where he was still holding his hand as if miming something, then he stared at his hand and was like "What's that?.... must've been a spare mime" XD

He's awesome. I love British humor it's so dry and sophisticated compared to almost all American comedians. Don't get me wrong Americaan comedy is great but the occasional "high class" routine rather than one for five minutes about bacon is a relief sometimes. And no the bacon thing is NOT a made-up example. XD

dontcallmehuman In reply to Kari-Twilight-Mist [2010-10-24 13:53:12 +0000 UTC]

Mmm, I do like plenty of american shows/comedians but I'd have to say most of my all time favourites are british, especially anything with awkward or surreal humour. That stuff doesn't always transfer well- for example, I can't stand the american version of the Office. And five minutes about bacon? XD
